Thanks so much - George was certainly on a roll during this period!

One of my favorite Beatle songs. Yellow Submarine was the first of their records I bought back in high school.

Nice. That opening chord sounds right, seems obvious now you did it. I was using the harmonic on the 7th fret but one thing I've discovered we both do wrong is using the whammy on that chord. The pitch of that chord doesn't change, so there has to be at least two guitars (or overdubs, of course.) The intro is an edit piece that's been crafted, with the melody descending: chord, D-D#- D-D#..., B-C-B-C... E-F-E-F...organ pedaling on G bass note. Definitely a Casino with Bigsby, I reckon. Thanks, sounds spot on.

Since about 1977 my go to version of this has been the Steve Hillage one from the album "L". Great song and if I can, I always turn up the solo/outro to squeeze out every second of guitar on the fade out.
Thanks for this.👍

One of my all time favorites! Could you tell me the secret of how not to get that ear splitting squeak when moving to a different fret, for example from a G barre chord to an A?

For my money you're the best guitarist on the Tube. Love this song.

George wrote it in 1967, they recorded it on May 25, 1967. It was considered for release on Magic Mystery Tour, but they instead used it for Yellow Submarine. The fingering makes me think of the chord forms used by the Edge with U2.

My favorite Beatles song. Nice work. Is there a live recording of them performing this?

My fav cover version is the Journey rendition on their Look Into The Future release. It is a head turner.

Wow, That Was Awesome ! The song I Will Follow by U2 has a similar picking stile on two strings to get pretty much the same sound on those notes as played on All Too Much - George Harrison Was Just Brilliant ! Yep, There were The Beatles - and Everyone Else Who Followed .

They recorded this shortly after the Sgt. Pepper sessions. This song could've been on Pepper, or MMT. This and Hey Bulldog are the hidden jems on Yellow Submarine. The feedback guitar is glorious. My only criticism is it's too long. Also, whoever plays bass is pretty sloppy on the Beatles' version.

My favorite version is by Journey (pre-Steve Perry when they were essentially a Santana offshoot) on their second album Look into the Future.
