The thing about Laettner’s shot is that it was basically a free throw if you look at his spot on the court. A jump shot free throw. Don’t get me wrong, spectacular play overall, but not a difficult shot. This was almost half court while running at full speed. Skip Bayless kept saying it was all luck because he used the backboard, but he doesn’t realize that it’s most common to use the backboard in a shot at that length and at that speed. He really thinks it’s smart to try to swish a ball at that speed and length??

I think it is a lucky shot too yet very spectacular to realise the clock push the basketball and got it done!! By bang the backboard like that is always luck!! (Unless Suggs train his logo shot with the bang) And I hate skip bayless!!! Lol

I don't like skip much. But quit trying to making controversial statements to get subscribers. Skip shows skepticism, but was not so anti Gonzaga. I don't hate skip, I just switch the channel. With you, I will debate you any day on anything related to Gonzaga basketball this year. Why didn't you show more of the clip? Why hasn't any of the pundits brought it up? This is not politics. You will not deceive me. Stick to the pros. I have been following basketball for over fifty years. I will not let someone probably half my age deceive me. I don't understand why more old school observers don't put out more accurate and experienced viewpoints. Probably because many of us are idiots with technology. You may know how to produce a slick presentation online. But you probably lack the judgment and experience to provide a valid argument. Especially if the foundation for your argument is based on taking a statement out of context. I understand skip is your competition, but your lack of honesty and integrity is evident. I won't watch skip and I won't watch you. Maybe in 20 years when you realize integrity is the most important aspect of online opinion videos.
