I honestly love Zootopia. The characters are great there relatable they both have genuine flaws, and they have a fun dynamic.
The spot the moives not so good at is the detectiving sequence.
But for me the character development is good enough to keep the story engaging.

I'm pretty sure Rotten Tomatoes shows how many reviews are positive, not how positive the reviews are on average. For the latter, IMDb does that job.

I have an interesting insight into the Pinocchio situation. I listened to a commentary track on Disney's Cinderella that mentioned that Disney movies had done poorly in the 1940s. Bambi and Fantasia had both bombed on their first runs.


Pinocchio had been Disney's last moneymaker when they were doing Cinderella. They determined that Cinderella would make or break them. If it wasn't a success, they planned to close down their animation department for good. Which at that time was the majority of what they were doing.


Long story short, Cinderella made bank for them. But the part I was getting at was that apparently Pinocchio has always been a very popular movie for them, which is likely why it's so highly rated.
