Today, I'm talking about VRChat's most recent blunder of adding an anti-cheat, removing the ability to use mods. I use VRChat mods, so here's why this is a problem.

I don’t think I’ve EVER seen a game get a “overwhelmingly negative” review on steam, ever. This is insane. Either they get rid of EAC or lose a huge chunk of their player base

There is nothing wrong with using a modified client.. unless your using it to do harm to others... The EAC does not prevent Crashers, Avatar Stealers or Account Stealers/ban. Heck some modified client programs has already bypassed EAC. Some of the mods that were banned helped prevented some of the bad ones, Banning all of them is a double edged sword. For the community that has been alienated by the developers--- ChilloutVR is receiving a good majority of the modding support and is expanding their servers to handle the large influx of players.. Till then some are still playing VRchat and others are playing other games or taking a break till ChilloutVR (CVR) is ready.

If they don't fix all these problems soon then their competitors will see a more permanent influx

For you to say how popular vrchat is that people on neos vr and chillout vr won't last long I think is very important because the developers will have no choice but to get rid of EAC!!!!
