That growl was so short, that was not more than a "Now STOP it! I want to have my peace now! I MEAN IT! Got it?"
When it is short and unambiguous, that is the way to "educate" the puppy. When it is bound to the action of the puppy and when the puppy ends what it did and the "punishment" ends, it quickly understands "OK, not that".
And puppies have no trouble with defined rules - as long as they are not arbitrary, change with the mood of the one in charge etc.

Same applies to kids, they are also social animals and try to find their position in the family and amongst their friends.

Two dogs together are always heartwarming. I lost my old boy back in January but I’ll never forget my little lad watching him play in the park and was absolutely amazed like: bro- you do nothing but sleep at home- you mean you actually PLAY?! And that was it. He missed him so much when we had to say goodbye.

I really think this needs to be done carefully because new members can stress dogs out. I had a dog who got stressed with certain dog visitors. I just honored that and didnt put her through it.
