After hearing this version of DARIA, it literally became clear to me what a sad story is actually told in this song. Tears broke out after the halfway point, which I can't even explain, except for the fact that I was truly sad. In DARIA's version, the suffering is compassionately conveyed, as if she is screaming directly from the souls of those who suffer from this addiction.

Unbelievably powerful performance. For those saying she is just screaming, I challenge them to scream with that power and intensity and maintain the notes and vibrato at the end of each. She communicates in the primordial scream of a person trapped in the throes of desperation who wants to be loved but feels nothing but emptiness and isolation. People with this level of emotion often don't last long on this earth. I hope she stays around.

Absolutely the best cover of the song I have heard this far. Wht Daria does is, giving the song its credibility and I love the way she transform from something broken and fragile in to a powerhouse. I hope that one day she and her band Slot, find their way to west as what I have heard this far is some mighty good stuff and yes, Daria is a great vocalist, one of the greatest female singers out there!

The more I watch this cover, the more I think the global composition is excellent. Nookie has the voice, nothing to prove for years. To me she did an insanity inspired cover : the flame, the hair, the long white simple shirt as if she ran out of an hospital room, the song topic itself. It's not a cover to compare with the original, it's not only a demonstration, it's a complete creation. Very very good.

I saw a famous old drawing by Edvard Munch called "The Scream". I thought Daria's performance is a soundtrack for it. It is a powerful and honest expression of what the song's lyrics and the drawing are actually about. I've always found Sia's delivery and presentation of her song to be very repressed, shallow, two-dimensional, and creepy. Sometimes a song is more than a song, and a performance is more than a performance. This is a song about an excruciatingly painful human condition all kinds of people experience in different ways in different situations, not just after a night out with an emotional hangover. This is a song that many of us can relate to--when it is sung honestly from the soul. I hear and see her as if to the depth of her soul and I find a mirror. Thank you Daria for a healthy way to connect with these feelings. Strength to those who live with it without release. This performance is an anthem.
