Horse Shelter Heroes | S2E23 | Full Episode

In this episode, our adoption event was a huge success with many horses finding their forever home. It was a very busy 2 days of adoptions, but in the end there were a lot of smiles on a lot of faces, and a lot of happy endings!

It was auction week, and with the mentoring of the organization for Horse Rescue Heroes Season 2, we planned to rescue a lot of horses. There were some good surprises at the auction, and in the end we were able to save 51 precious lives from the slaughter pipeline. Two other organizations, one from out of state, joined us at the auction and intake, for a total of 4 organizations working together!

That Belgy is giant, fit and gorgeous! Love the big mule, too! <3 And how the foundered paint carefully stepped over the shadow line on the ground. If she can be rehabbed, I'm sure she would make a lovely arena trail horse. I'm so glad she's going to the other rescue. <3

i've seen other animals help rescue horses. A Fillie that lost her mom was nursed by a GOAT. The goat stood on a platform so the fillie could reach the goats teats and saved the horse. RESCUES need to think outside the box to help. I do everything I can to bring SPECIES TOGETHER.

The draft horse is a beauty. One of the best Endurance ride equines over here in Australia was a mule called Juanita, they aren't just for carrying stuff :)

I love that you include the people interviews and how hard they're working to support the horses. Even the clip with the keys locked in the car helps everyone see the realities and everyday lives of the volunteers and what an amazing "family" you're growing. Sending love and hugs! ❤❤❤

The difference - watching the ladies bring in the horses from grassy pastures coming to feed buckets, all relaxed, it is beautiful.
Ladies, God bless you. I know your job is "difficult" as there are very high-highs and very dark lows. You all are gifted and I hope you find the strength to keep doing what you do.
