This week Jannita and Shenae we look at some of Silky's larger saws. Ideal as an alternative to a small chainsaw.

When starting out pruning, you can be a bit daunted and worried by the task in front of you. But if you remember the reasons for pruning, that is you are maintaining a tree to a height suitable for the environment in which it is growing and maintaining the health of the tree by allowing good sunlight and breeze penetration to the canopy, you will be on your way to success.

Don't forget to check out the Sugowaza and Sugoi Range, also awesome Big saws:

ATC Products is in the business of sourcing and supplying the world's best tree care products. The Silky Saw and Okatsune range are just that - some of the world's best pruning tools. Perfect for the arborist to perform tree works with ease.

Are you looking for high qualities saws or axes that will make the job seem effortless? Look no further. Shenae and Jannita have a few awesome products to share.

When I saw you two (little) hands on the handle it clicked. That saw is a beast when using it with two hands.

To answer the question posed in this video :
Answer : I use a chain saw for track clearing and also felling and limbing trees from small to large.
I use a SIlky Pocket Boy for small scrub under 5cm.

I live in Hungary, and I just bought a 340 mm Zorin. Well, I'm satisfied, it really bites the 30 cm walnut. Its main task will be cutting out acacia trees in summer. It is true that you have to pull it just smootly, without pressure, because it tends to be stuck anyway.
By the way, what's the difference between Zorin and Temagari?

I cut old apple branches, plum trees. Some lims are 10cm+. Love my 330 zubat forester. I'm so amazed by how fast it cuts that I use it for fruit trees pruning. I like as well the gomtaro 270 but it seems puny and fragile compared to the zubat. Perhaps it's better for dry wood and more precision.
Planning on getting a pole zubat for some black locust and willows pruning. Not sure or the pole length.
Thnx for the video

The Zorin has unfortunately been discontinued, what would be the closest replacement you could recommend?

I'm currently cutting standing dead hardwoods for knife/ferro rod (fire steel) handles. The Bigboy (Black handle) and the curved Yellow Pocketboy are okay, but do you recommend something else at all? The branches and trunks range in diameter from 50 to 130mm.
