Snow was already defeated. He had nothing going on, he was going to die. But Coin was going to just rise to be the next Snow. And to do that, she tried to break Katniss by killing her sister, thinking it would bring her back to her state in the start when she thought she'd lost Peeta. What Coin didn't know was that the hope of Peeta being alive and tortured kept her like that. Whereas since she knew Prim was dead, there was no hope, so no reason to fear the consequenses. She could kill Coin without caring about what happens.

I wish they included the part from the book in the movie where coin wanted to continue the hunger games using capital children because then this part makes more sense.

Coin wanted the hunger games to carry on but the living winners voted to say they wanted it as well. But the deciding factor was that it was her drones/helicopters that killed prim.

For those who don’t know snow had been taken over so she was chosen to execute him (shoot him the a bow and arrow) but coin (the woman) was in a meeting with them all and they all made a vote wether they should continue the hunger games and put the capital children in it to show them how they feel or to discontinue the hunger games.Coin was in charge of it all and she wanted to continue it but katniss killed her because she knew the after pain and the affects and she know it must end so she killed coin to prevent the hunger games from being continued

For those who don’t understand: Katniss stop that she needs to kill snow, but after realizing that it was coin who killed her sister and wanted to continue she almost killed snow, but then finally realizing that if she killed snow, it would be a never-ending loop

Glimmer ls so pretty, if she had won she would most certainly have to go through what Finnick and Cashmere went through, in her interwiew Ceaser literally "touches" her which is More proof of what would have happened. Ppl also belive cashmere was her mentor and purposly gave bad advice so she wouldnt have to go through what she and many others did, but we will never know for sure🤷
