The pressure pot increases the pressure to reduce and/or eliminate any bubbles in the material.

You have to add compressed air to the pressure pot to increase the internal pressure. This does not add air to the solution making more bubbles. If there is any remaining air left in the solution that was either not vacuumed out or added during the process of pouring... putting it under pressure will shrink the existing bubbles to a size so small that you cannot see them.

When you use the pressure pot is it increasing or decreasing the pressure?

The pressure pot is increasing the pressure. I personally use 75 psi but be real careful and make sure you pressure pot is rated for the pressure you use. I had a cheap pot blow the top so I now only use Binks ASME certified pots!

May I ask what kind of other things do you make and cast

Curtis, how long do you keep the mold in the pressure pot?

What were you casting in the video? I make tiny molds so that was like 2 years' worth of resin to me right there lol.

If you are still freaked out about the open time; pre-measure part A and B in separate containers; this way your time does not start until you start mixing them.

I want to cast a Nissan "Z" emblem in red and put a led light in the center and use on the grill of my 350z. Can you lead me to the right videos to do this? I know the led is something else but to cast it the right way is tight up your alley.

You want at least 35psi but don't ever exceed the rating of your pot! I usually use 40psi. The higher the pressure the less chance of bubbles. Keep it in the pot long enough for the material to set up so that once you release the pressure the bubbles cannot form. Usually 20 to 30 minutes is a safe number.

How professional are you? Not much because you should never use a scale with alumilite.
