Small Onion Sambar / Chinna Venkaya Sambar:

Ingredients:

Small Onions - 20 to 25
Cooked Toor dhal - 1 Cup (Add asafoetida, cumin, oil & turmeric while
cooking )
Tomatoes - 2
Sambar powder - 2 Tbsp
Chilly powder - 1 Tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 Tsp
Tamarind Juice - 2 Tbsp
Salt

To Temper : Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp, Mustard & Urad dhal - 1/4 tsp, Curry
leaves, Ghee - 1 Tsp.

Preparation Method:
1. Temper Fenugreek & Curry leaves in Gingelly Oil.Add Small Onions & Salt - Saute Well.
2. Add Tomato, Chilly Powder, Sambar Powder & Turmeric.
3. Add Cooked Toor Dhal & Water - Mix Well.
4. Cook till it mix together.
5. Add 2 Tbsp of Tamarind Water and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
6. Add 2 Tbsp of Tamarind Water and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
7. Small Onion Sambar is Ready.
