I never had to drain mine for 3 years and finally got that code. I'm happy it was something simple. There was almost a full water bottle full of nasty water inside!

My error code was also ES on my Hisense indoor AC unit. Looks similar to your LG. Draining the water did the trick. Make sure to use two water bottles. I recommend propping it on something higher so you can tip the water out. Caution do not over tip just lightly.

I've only had mine for a few months and it turns off when I plus it in then turns right back off. Once plugged in it doesn't turn on at all. Going to try this and see if it helps
