Were it so that 'Footloose' was the only claim to fame for actor Kevin Bacon or singer Kenny Loggins, it would still be a brilliant postcard from pop culture 40 years ago, but thankfully both are known and loved for a myriad of films and songs respectively. 'Footloose' co-penned by Loggins with Dean Pitchford was the title track to the Oscar and Grammy nominated movie of the same name. Kenny had been kicking around since the 70's but this toe tapper, foot stomping, kick ass track gave him his biggest success - a #1 smash in his homeland as well as around the world; including here in Australia where it entered our charts in early April of 1984, before ascending to its top spot just 6 weeks later and ended up spending 6 months in the Top 100; ten of those in the Top 10 and it became the 7th best seller of 1984.

I did not remix this track; it is the 'Ultrasound Extended Mix' and it is a banger of a recording. I have illustrated it entirely with gif's from ''Footloose' and other pieces of vision with lively feet! 1984 was such a grand year for pop music and Kenny Loggins powerful voice; combined with an incredibly catchy tune and lyric as well as it emanating from one of the most popular movies of the year; all added up to pop history!
