Can JBL 708P be BETTER than 3-way?

Heeey, guys! A Polish distributor of JBL dropped me a pair of 708P to test them against my KSD C88. Is it even possible to quit 3-way monitoring for a premium 2-way solution? Let's find out!

I have Martin Logan SL3‘s, electrostatics, but basically a line array with 30 x 10 degree dispersion, and you could hear an ant fart on stage in the middle of death metal guitar solo, some people cannot listen to them because of the sound presentation (to real!), I also have Meyer HD1‘s (best for mix translation instrument balance and Tannoy System 10 DMT ll‘s for home hi-fi feel

Did you try them standing up rather than on the side? just observing the"wave guide" design, seems to be designed for upright placement

I love mine. I tried to replace my JBL LSR 4328s with KH310s. Nope, for my room the 708ps are perfect. I wouldn’t trade them for anything.

Do you think it's a good idea to lie the speakers horizontally? That's not the way it should be. And I am pretty sure you know that.

Placement is not perfect, so it's great and it's only listening. It would be great if you mix anything to compare it properly :)
