Remember on the shimano the tension knob is used to eliminate thenside to side of the spool. You adjust to where there's no play side to side in the spool, its not a tension knob like on a traditional baitcaster. It seems you dont really understand how the different adjustments are meant to be used on the shimano

Im gonna go ahead and say that the kastking will at least surprise you! Idk about Shimano, they've got a reputation for the best engineering in the world but ive used kastking a lot for 2 years and they're absolutely killer in my opinion. That royal legend pro, top water rod is my absolute favorite rod of all time!

I will ALWAYS take the Shimano purely because i because i believe it will last forever. I still use a Shimano Calisto baitcaster reel i bought in 2005. Had it serviced only once in 20 years but i mist admit i clean my reels after each fishing session. Here in South Africa we have a LOT of dust in my home province, so cleaning your reels are very important. I have 2 piscifun casting reels which i really LOVE. However, i have seen some real progress from Jastking as they offer many options for reels and it seem like quality. But i don't think they are close to the level of Shimano honestly.
