ℹ️ About the episode:
In the past several years, we've only washed our RV (ourselves) a couple of times. It's difficult, time-consuming and when using the long poles at a DIY car wash bay, the chances of breaking something is high. We've said before, sometimes there is nothing more expensive than trying to save money! Yet, with the truck washes using bristle brushes that can leave scratches or swirls on your painted RV and some Blue Beacon truck washes using acid in their water, which can destroy your clear coat, washing the RV yourself just might be the best option. In this video we wash our 30' Flying Cloud Airstream and share 5 tips of things to watch our for to help you wash your RV safely and properly.

I know that there aren't many, and I almost never look at negative comments, but why say anything if you don't like the content? Just stop watching and leave this content to those of us get something out if, and enjoy watching some authentic people go through the same experience we're either currently going through or one we're daydreaming about. You guys are great and I hope you keep this up for awhile. I really enjoy the way it's delivered and the obvious work you've put into creating it. Thank you.

I know you have me hooked on the KYD video's when I spent close to ten minutes watching someone wash an Airstream.

I am surprised that you did not use your most valuable resources for this RV wash job - two teenage boys! Safe travels.

At blue beacon ask for classic wash no brightner, then you don't have to worry about your clear coat or decals. Also there are a lit of self serve tractor trailer washes that would be better for. Also usually has platforms on each side to get the high spots. Good Sunday show😁

Tip for the scrub brushes at the car wash - I always drop the brush down to the ground and pressure wash the dirt out of the brush before washing my vehicle

If you are in a spot where you can't use water or don't have any there is a waterless method. Wash wax all is a product I found on other RV channels and use it on my Reflection and truck. I was hesitant at first but the stuff is good. There are other products that are similar but I just found this one first. If the trailer has large dirt particles it can scratch so a rinse in those conditions is recommended.
Thanks for the fun video guys. Keep living the dream!

Haven’t read all of the comments, but just in case… I didn’t notice if you use two buckets but it’s important to shake the brush or mitt out into the first bucket for all the dirt to go down into and then go to the second bucket which is just for the soap. This will keep from scratching the surface of what you’re washing.

When you mix the soap and water, add a couple ounces of distilled vinegar, it’ll prevent the water spots a lot longer.

Thanks for the video. We find the easiest way to wash our 37 foot motorhome is with a pressure washer, foam cannon and DI water. We can wash and dry in less than 30 min. We wash every 2 weeks.

Your videos are a cut above anything else on Youtube. Drone free and no stupid music really helps. Just good info, and entertaining topics presented right. Thanks!

The timing of this video is fitting for us. We purchased our first trailer in January, and just did our first big trip to Yellowstone last week. On the way home our truck started leaking oil so bad that it covered the front and sides of our 33 foot trailer. Needless to say, when we got home yesterday we got to experience washing our trailer for the first time. It is satisfying watching all that dirt, and in our case oil, come off.

You guys are great! My wife and I don't even own an RV yet... but we have been following you since season 1. God bless this precious family!

You need to apply 303 Protectant to the gaskets on the windows that open, to keep them from sticking closed.

Dyson vacuums are awesome. They are pricey, but so worth it. We have two German Shepherds and they shed a lot. I remember two years we went through 4 vacuums. Our Dyson vacuum is still going strong after 5 years.

We have the dyson cordless also. A little tip for ya, Mark. Use your compressed air to blow out the whole unit every once in a while. It restores suction to original performance.

Just got back from our long summer trip and you are right, it is satisfying washing dirt from 17 states. I use 2 buckets, one with the wash and the other for rinsing the brush in between.

OK! The music while washing the RV was ON POINT! EXCELLENT!

Fellow Airstream owner here. Yes, it does take about 4 hours on an AS. Tip: I was always told to follow the grain of the aluminum when washing and I use WD40 on the SS rock guards.

If I told anyone of my friends that I watched 2 people talk about washing an RV and then actually watching them do it was very entertaining, I think they would tell me I was crazy...guess I’m a little crazy! Thanks guys! Loved it.
