SMU Ho Rih Hwa Lecture: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (Lecture) | 20 Sep 2018

Singapore Management University (SMU) was privileged to host Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the Ho Rih Hwa Leadership Lecture Series on Thursday, 20 September 2018.

In the first part of the event, consisting of a lecture by Datuk Seri Anwar, he started by addressing the student population and shared that the purpose and aim of education is the assimilation of knowledge for the dissemination of truth. He also regaled the audience with his journey as a politician in Malaysia and how he overcame the many tribulations that were in his path.

Held at the SMU Hall, the event saw close to 1,200 attendees consisting of the foreign diplomatic community, chambers of commerce, the SMU Board of Trustees, School’s Advisory Board members, faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as well as principals, teachers and students from other educational institutions.

DSAI is a leader of immense quality and ahead of his time. He doesnt need to read from a prepared speech, that is a mark of a leader. Had he been a Singaporean, he would be a Prime Minister by now.
