I can imagine this being available in stores, while not a great cube, MUCH more likely someone who buys a cube in a whim to keep cubing using this vs a Rubik's brand cube, and this being cheaper than a Rubik's brand is probably helpful in that as well.

the NEX 3x3 was avalable at my local meijer which is like a smaller but still big brand version of walmart so i had to rescue it and make it good

Randomly discovering a Nexcube in KMart and buying it on a whim is what got me back into cubing in recent years.

I actually think those are nonmagnetic MeiLong Cubes, as someone I know bought these and said they were MeiLongs, which are bad out of the box, but okay after setup. Maybe if you open up a MeiLong maybe the piece design is the same.

The mofang meilong that you said people should get instead of the kmart cube is actually my main. I have bought more expensive ones (not super high end but supposedly better) and I still prefer that one.
Also sushi without avocado is the best. Ting boy randomness is correct.
