One of my favorite moments in NYC happened while I was waiting in line at Russ & Daughters. A young Asian man in a suit is running down the sidewalk and suddenly stops in front of me and unwraps a tie. He asks me if I could tie it for him. I tie it for him and as soon as it's done he continues booking it down the sidewalk. NYC is just one of those places where ANYTHING can happen.

some clarification- for a land animal to be kosher it has to have split hooves and has to chew its cud. for a fish to be kosher it has to have fins and scales. all of these animals must be slaughtered in a certain way as well. also katz is not kosher, but is considered kosher style because they do not serve pig

This was great. I remember loving a half sour pickle in NYC. I wish we had more access in Cincinnati to Jewish foods. Izzy's is our Jewish Deli sandwich shop. Especially love the pastrami and the soups. I need my regular fix. Thanks guys.

Edith's in Greenpoint, Mendys Deli, Breads Bakery in Union Square (surprise u guys missed this bakery), Shalom Ramen, Miles End Delicatessen, Knish Knosh Queens, Moishe Bakery on Grand Street moved there from 2nd Ave btw. Also, there are different levels of Kosher certification for the different groups of Jewish ppl.

Israeli (former TX resident) here I learned alot about Jewish food through that video some foods I never heard but some I know. I was entreat in seen ya both enjoy the Jewish foods and now I myself would like to try them one day.
