The fact Emilia and Kit have more chemistry than their TV characters says a lot about the writing and pacing smh

Well the actors that played Jon and Ygritte ended up dating in real life and I think even got married so that was literally not acting, that flirting was real 😂

They had no chemistry. But they did have……….. biology!
Thank you, I’m here all week.

I think it's also because they didn't have to work to become a couple. There was no struggle to overcome.
The whole plotline of him being king in the north and finally Ned Starks Son and not just Bastard and her being a Conquerer was completely thrown out. The conflict with his family was also just abandoned.
There was no talk of her being foreign and him showing her the westeros way, them distrusting each other etc. It was meeting BÄM they love each other but WAIT he is her brother!?!
Way to fast. D&S didn't show us them falling in love, they just told us they have fallen in love. That doesn't work

I want to point out, that this was a writer's and director's issue, not a character or actor issue. The actors act out what the director wants, while following a script. There are some bad actors, but there had done so well up to this point, I don't think it's accurate to place it on them like that.

kinda hard to flirt when his line is mostly "Ai dun wan ith" and "yu ah mah quinn"

Didn't work because d&d can barely read or write unless they're copying and pasting, and since they ran out of material they resorted to copying and pasting reddit theories.

They wished so desperately for us to believe that "blood of dragon calls each other" that they forgot to provide us with a convincing romance between the two main characters!

Yea the chemistry had nothing to do with the fact they’re married in real life lol 😅

I think Jon and Dany works really well on paper and likely will work in TWOW and beyond because GRRM has been planning for them to be endgame for years and years. I blame the poor writing of the later seasons and disregard for the source material as why Jon and Dany didn’t work in the show. Kit and Emilia are good friends in real life, if only they had a few scenes of the two characters actually bonding and having fun, I think they really could have sold that.

Also helps that kit and rose are literally a couple and had good chemistry together period, and Jason momoa was very helpful and kind and welcoming to Emilia Clark when she debut’ed as Dany

Their "chemistry" was REAL. Last I checked, they're married.

Their chemistry sucked because they had very few scenes together and all of their relationship development happened "off screen"

Kal Drogo/jason mamoa and Emilia Clarke had the best chemistry - Moon and the Sun!

Yeah Jon had more chemistry with Rheagal then Dany

I wouldn't say they had "bad" chemistry. Merely that it was rushed to reach a narrative conclusion. They had chemistry. But any romantic angles between them were quickly drowned out by scenes with political intrigue.

Dany and Jon had no chemistry and they had absolutely trash dialogues and I can't understand how they fell in love with each other. Dany was so arrogant to Jon and Jon is seeing Dany always as more important than himself, it was just toxic.
Also I thought Dany likes men who can flirt and who have this "idgaf attitude", but Jon doesn't have this attitude and he can't flirt

What blows my mind. Is the show runners and the money at HBO could've easily allowed this seies to go on for 12-16 seasons. After catching up with source material, they could've had GRRM on board to expand more on what was to happen as if he was laying out the future of his books in the show. He could've taken the time with them to actually build where the rest of it is going and put himself so much into it, that he could've used the show as plot points for his last 2 books.

But no... Instead, he did the opposite snd gave them plot points for where the books are going. They fucked up by being impatient. They fucked up by rushing the final seasons. They fucked up when they realized they have no source material to to off of and they fucked up by not allowing GRRM to mske the last few seasons the source material for his books.

We must have watched different series because what I saw was Drogo forcing himself on Dany and her having to learn from Doreah how to get some control back. Doreah taught her to assert herself in the tent, seduce and control her man in bed using eye contact. Their relationship in the series is objectively more than a bit icky to the modern eye, it started out badly even if after they held affection for each other. Drogo didn't seduce Dany by showing passion, she had to learn how to survive.
