The Government will end the use of the Bibby Stockholm barge for housing migrants off England’s south coast as part of an overhaul of the asylum system, the Home Office has announced.

The contract for the barge moored in Dorset will not be renewed past January as demand for such accommodation will be reduced by moves to clear the asylum backlog, the department said.

Talk’s International editor Isabel Oakeshott joins Talk’s Kevin O’Sullivan to discuss this further.

NOBODY VOTED
For all this immigration, NOBODY.

It would be nice to have some politicians who do not hate this country and the indigenous Brits.

I see Mohamid Starmer wont even answer a straight question on immigration.

The other day there was an immigrant women in front of me in the cue at a shop and she had some online FREE benefit vouchers and couldn't work the app because she couldn't read English and then couldn't speak English to ask for help. I told her that she is holding us all up as some of us have jobs to go to to pay for her FREE money and for the first time most people behind me agreed and said that Leeds had opened their eyes. We need to get VOCAL.

Imagine the UK and the west in general without multiculturalism. It would be heaven.

Whenever an auditor manages to speak to a hotel dweller, they either get "no English" or the finger. They are sooo grateful

Socialism, making everyone equally poor except the politicians.

School dormitories, hospital wards and military barracks have been good enough for millions of Brits.

"Afraid of water?" so how did he cross the channel ?, the Stockholm barge was good enough for oil rig workers who worked for a living and paid their income tax and national insurance contributions into this country but not it seems for migrants who want to milk the benefit system.

At this point, it's probably safer to move my family to Rwanda. 5 years of this and reform might get to form a government in 2029

When I was in Saudi Arabia, about 10 years ago, the authorities had a clamp down on illegal workers. They (Interior Ministry who issue visa's) estimated there were around 1 million in the country but in the first tranche of searches (the Police visited every office building, construction site, place of work, shops, factories, delivery companies etc.) they caught over 800, 000 illegals. The number of potential illegals was hurriedly revised by the Gov't to over 3 million. A second tranche of searches caught a further 400, 00 and, the following year another 500, 000 were caught. Every single one was deported without any appeal, trial, or review. Why can't we do the same?
