Hello. As a dog groomer, this is just as bad as shaving. Dogs like this can benefit from a small trim. What you did was destroy his coat. Itll grow back, but it wont grow back the same and it will cause matts. You will need to have this dog professionally groomed for the rest of his life.

Please. PLEASE. Never take scissors to your dog without someone experienced helping.

If you want to do it yourself, then take soem xlasses and educate yourself.

2 things. 1. Please take him to a professional for the 1st time. I'm sure someone would be happy to show you what to do. 2. Cutting his hair won't help your allergies, it's likely dander or something else you brought in witn him.

As a future dog groomer, please please don’t cut him short with scissors, its just as bad as shaving if you trim it short, and does damage to the coat, Hair is also not the only thing you could be allergic to, it could just as possible be dander or saliva

Omg, don’t do this again without asking a groomer! He for sure has a double coat and if u cut that second coat it will never grow back quite the same again! He needs his second coat, even if it’s hot outside or not. If you do have an allergy to chopper, I would try daily allergy med but it looks more like you got flea bites from him

This is really horrible. How sad to disrespect a dog like that just for views. A simple google search would have told you that if you were in fact allergic to dog dander, cutting his hair is the OPPOSITE thing you want to do. You would also have seen that your rash was likely from fleas not his fur. This poor baby needs a flea bath and a loving respectful parent, not to have his coat hacked with dull scissors and shaven with a human razor 😭 Please let this dog be cared for by someone who actually gaf about his well being.

You need to take him to a vet to ensure he's not carrying fleas or other diseases. That is certainly not from an allergy. You either got something from the dog or the bed in the AirBnB. You shouldn't shave or cut a long hair double coated dog. Why wouldn't you think of bathing him instead of cutting him?? Poor boy.

Okay this was dumb, you arent allergic to dog hair your allergic to Dander. Please dont cut the dogs hair anymore you could cause serious damage to his coat and skin. Please just follow up with a vet and bathe him help with allergies.
