The holes aren't for a wrist strap. They are there to put decorations on it like phone charms/dangles. 

It's because Sony is a Japanese company and Japanese people LOVE to decorate their phones.

The problem with the vid, is not the clothes of the presenter, or her hairstyle, at least to me. The real problem, is that a presenter of T3, which is a well-known magazine, doesn't know on the very first impressions video, that these ear-phones that shows us, ARE NOT the noice-cancelling and secondly, that water-proof doesn't include going to the beach with the phone.
Really, if you don't have a clue for the phone, either learn via a simple search within youtube vids or find a similar pretty face that do knows what's he is talking about!
