cocnut oil saved my dad form dementia actually increased his HDL ..and he takes a lot of it every single day....and he had dementia after 1 year on a low fat vega diet...All this information are so confusing....

I'm a Pacific Islander, we use coconuts in literally every meal, mostly cos they're cheap and readily available and yet heart disease is not common here..

A 1981 study noted that the population of Tokelau, an island chain in the South Pacific, obtained over 60% of their calories from coconuts. Researchers reported not only good overall health but also very low rates of heart disease (3).
Kitavan people in Papua New Guinea also eat a lot of coconut, alongside tubers, fruit, and fish, and have little stroke or heart disease (4).

I'm 73 and have eaten coconut oil for the last 8 years. My triglyceride has gone down considerably and although my LDL raised, my HDL raised quite a lot. As for cholesterol, this is the last of my concern. I am rather active and can do a good day work.

I just know for me when i was trying to lose weight i was eating it everyday and lost a lot of weight. It gave me a lot of energy and made my skin nice 😊

all the research i've looked at (journalist) said the exact opposite - i would look at who PAID for these studies. yes i'm calling them a lie.

for the people reporting raising LDL, (which I highly doubt) also take Niacin, which DRASTICLY reduces LDL and raises HDL. Niacin is now considered a basic building block for humans. So it scrapes plaque from arteries, increases heart longevity, reduces bad cholesterol LDL, and raises good cholesterol HDL. Coconut oil and Niacin have been found to reverse Alzheimer's, epilepsy, "aging" diseases. Coconut AND Niacin also increases brain function, even in people who are not in danger of Alzheimer's and such.

Studies funded by the seed oil industry in States. Remember seed oils are massively industrially-processed waste product, eg cotton seed was an industrial byproduct so effectively free as an input into oil.. the margins are huge and they found Ana arum industrial process to make oil from the seeds featuring hexane, de-odorizing etc. takes about 10 industrial processes to make it. Coconut oil is literally 1 step: grind coconuts and oil comes out with no heat treatment or chemical processing needed. If you think seed oils are better for you than coconut oil, you have been seriously brainwashed. You’re eating industrial by-product

It’s already been clearly covered that cholesterol in and of it self is not a good representation of health.

Also love how the thumbnail shows coconut oil clogging blood flow…. Fat is transported through your lipid system and almost all triglycerides found in the blood were originally excess glucose in the blood.
