Inheriting SK tools is American as apple pie. I wish more people would support. SK is by far my favorite past and current tool company.

I've had my 1/4" 44 piece for probably close to 20 years and it still works flawlessly, hell the plastic case is still completely functional. I would definitely buy that set again if I ever lost it.

Love this brand! Grew up with them on the farm. Only brand my father and grandfather would use

I became an S-K fan back in the 80s. My parents ran a corner hardware store and I could get them at cost.
Back then, I didn't like their wrenches and pliers. I haven't seen any new ones though.
Their sockets, ratchets and extensions are awesome!
Notable ratchets are 40775-48975-40975 in 1/4"
43175-45775 in 3/8
40175 in 1/2"
All purchased in the early 90s and used daily. Never an issue.
These are all 72 tooth double paw drive system. Still smooth as can be.
Your going to love that 1/4" set. I would have it but my old Craftsman from the 80s has held up well all these years and I never had a reason to replace it other than I put an S-K ratchet in the case.
I have a 1/4 " drive extension set that has a palm ratchet and 3 extensions in a plastic tray. Beautiful set I would highly suggest.

I’ve been finding s-k sockets at garage and estate sales over the past year so I started collecting them. I love the vintage knurled sockets and the metal boxes that they come in. Right now my craftsman 26 inch bottom box is full of complete s-k socket sets ( I think I have a problem ). I have warrantied a couple items and s-k has been great! Nothing but good things to say about s-k tools vintage or new. Great tools at a great price.

I have been using SK Tools for three decades now without issue. I have the same 44 Piece 1/4" Socket Set 91844 that I bought approximately thirty-years ago. The set is complete and still functions as good as the day I purchased it. Thanks for the info! I need to update my ratchet mechanism to the latest offering. Doubling the tooth count will be a great benefit. I just purchased one their LP90 3/8" drive 11" flex ratchet and love it! My next SK Tool purchase will be for the X-frame ratcheting wrenches.

Those X-frame are great, with 6point too! I think that they're at the the old Craftman tools warehouse. Nice tools with different ideas and approach to the industry. 👍

Another thing, I love the case/ organizer they come in, due to it being super short, and not bulky like the others, so that's nice it doesn't take up a lot of real estate.

I’m building a set from scratch - it’s a pre-1962 box which I got for free. Great fun finding all the bits (:

I’ve found a lot of SK tools to still be 3/4 the price of snap on. Decent built tools. The sockets I received leave a lot to be desired in the chrome finish but still pretty good

I have the 1/4” set I love it had it 16 years warrantied the ratchet 2 times do to my own stupidity. The impact extensions are awesome as well I hat the pin style and or the friction ring style so the sk stole my heart because it’s the detent ball I also just got yesterday the 3/8 female to 1/2 male adapter super low profile and not super bulky like my Mac or gearwrench you should check them out if you’re in the market
