He has reached an elite level of chess and quite frankly, we should all be scared because he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

Never really watched Tyler, but every time I see what new thing he’s done just can’t help but think some people really are built differently.

The great thing about chess is the matchmaking works and you don't need to hope for 3 winning lanes

The fact that Tyler1 is naturally talented at chess makes me smile

1800 after 1 year in the game is ridiculous. My peak is 1500 and I've been playing for over 20 years

From being 400 rating the last pogchamps tournament to being 1800 not even a year later
He probably won't even be allowed to compete in the next one 💀

Damn this guy is unbelievable.. he went from being a meme one trick player who was banned due to being the literal poster child for toxicity in League.. to Challenger in all roles, and now he is a Chess prodigy too. 😮

Not only that but unlike every other esports pro, he's kept up his physique and powerlifting throughout all of his insane mental grinds.

Regardless of whatever personal issues you may have with him, there is no way around acknowledging that this man is actually an inspiration and deserves recognition and respect for his insane talent and dedication.

Tyler1's pattern recognition has always been off the charts in league, this was 100% bound to happen with how addicted he is to chess. Truly a differnent animal.

"He needs to get back to league of legends" That was a weird thing for Hikaru to say imo...Especially about someone who had only been playing for a few months. Idk maybe im missing context but on its own that sounds insecure.

I'm surprised Hikaru was so adamant about people hitting walls and never getting past the wall. Sure, lots of people do do that, but it's not impossible. A famous example is Roger Bannister breaking the 4 minute mile and then all of a sudden 'lots' of people were breaking 4 mins. Tyler had the benefit of already being incredibly good at at least one other thing that required fast tactical thinking with longer term strategy, so that whole mental aspect of the wall was mitigated and he already had some aspects of chess well developed before he even played the game.

physically, mentally, tactically. Tyler1 is the peaking in all categories. This dude might be IRL Steve Rogers.
