why did you connect the copper wire on the pyrometer? For the ISSPRO EV2 pyrometer, the instructions say to leave that out

That is a great question. No, the wire insulation was never removed. I have attached a link of a picture from etrailer.com that will help illustrated.

Did you strip the wire where it goes into the "slots" or just wrap the wire around?

where did you get the blue quick connectors? and what wire gauge size are they?

The quick splice connectors were purchased online at Amazon. Size range from 14-18 Ga.

Those connectors are not very good short out after a while. Better off using solder or solder butt ends
