My hands were cold so don't expect prodigious guitar skills, just a test on the sounds you can get from this portable little amp playin' with the gain knob.

Great video! Little late to the party here, but that phone alert at 0:10 unlocked a core memory from back in the day 😂.

Wow, amazing sound from such a small thing, and well played, Sir!

@RIPTOTHEJOSH04 Well dude, first of all, thanks for the kind words. In second place, the EMGs set does his work for sure. You get more "unleashed" sound 'cause they're active and they're preamped by the battery. But with gain knob pumped all the way up you can get a good metal saturation with every high-output pickups.

Great demo - I like the fact it cleans up a bit

@KaktusCarlos Obviously mic straight into my laptop. Since I record with only one mic I don't need a mixer. If your problem is just the input volume, you can adjust it by going on the control panel of your pc and setting audio options. Plug your mic in the pc and set the input volume and the pre-amp volume. If you have any other problem like out-tempo recording, it's a matter of sound card. You must have a good sound card to record at least nicely.

@StickTrupa It depends on what you need to do. If struments are all acoustic then it'd be good. But if there's a drum, the drum will cover guitar volume, unless you mice it. By the way keep in mind that if you have to play with a certain quality of sound, I wouldn't recommend this amp, it sounds good for the amp that it is but you pratically have no low-end so guitar will sound like processed with an extremely high-pass filter. This is a "trip-with-friends" amp, no more than this.

@lukasm271095 Nope. This is a "trip with friends amp" for sure. For a beginner I would recommend an amplifier with a good quality-price rapport. The first thing that beginners need is an amp (and a guitar of course) that doesn't cost too much, but good enough to allows ear development. There's a lot of good transistor based amps perfect for beginners, check out brands like Blackstar, Hughes&Kettner, Peavey or Marshall.
Hope that helps.

@SuperMegaMantus So either way with or without active pickups it will still get a nice metal tone?

@RIPTOTHEJOSH04 Yes. For example, my Ibanez has on it a CrunchLab from DiMarzio and it sounds pratically the same way.

Whether to wear additional effects other than sound marshall ?

2 questions... A, how long does the battery last and b, how loud is it without the mic pointing at it?

Jack Black did it in School of Rock with the MS-2... I'm actually interested to know if it can be done with this one too.

just wondering if you can hook this to your jeans or something another, its part of a cosplay i'm gonna be doing and the character plays guitar so I thought I'd get a mini amp like this to walk about playing songs.
basically, can you walk around with this amp on your trousers with a short lead?

Anyone know if this is quieter than an acoustic guitar? Just learning how to play and I would like a small, low decibel amp to not disturb the piece of make my ears bleed.

Really nice demo man but one question did your metal riff demo sound really good cause what it looks like to me is that your guitar had active EMG's can that be the reason or does it just sounds like that with any guitar?
