I can tell you now owning an S5 and a S7 that the repair costs are often and many.. this month has seen the engine out for a timing chain cover oil leak... cost me £5000. S5 are cheap for a reason lol.

Thanks JB. Another problem with the V8 in the Audi is timing chain tensioners, if they go when driving...its over! That's why I chose the 3.o supercharged! little less on power but they didn't do a V8 convertible! Oh, by-the-way, is Simba ok?...All the best....

I daily an LS3 Corvette in the UK. I’ve had a few different V8 car’s including the CL500 in this list. I think the LS3 is the finest V8 ever made. Loads of power and unparalleled reliability

I genuinely think the Jag S-Type is aging so well that it looks better now than it did new - it didn't look incredible new, but it'll be a classic, if any of them last long enough 😄

Best V8 ever...it's tough, I'm ignoring modern V8s for now and saying Plymouth Superbird. It's probably terrible, so not the best and this is a rubbish comment, but I still want that insane wing.

Its a shame so few of these were sold with manual gearboxes, I think its only the S5. And really, if you buy an S5 over an S4 Avant, really all you're saying is that you care more about looking good than being useful
