Suburban Hospital MovieTone News

Recently, Suburban Hospital contacted us to produce a video that they could debut at their upcoming fundraiser. The purpose of the video was to show just how far the hospital has come since it was founded during Wold War II. To match the historical theme, the hospital asked us if we could produce the film using "MovieTone News" as the inspiration.

For those too young to know, "MovieTone News" were short news stories that were shown at movie theaters in the early to mid 1900s. They were somewhat similar to news stories that we can see on television today but they were shown in the theaters.

With Suburban Hospital's vision in mind we immediately gave our creative editors the tough task of taking the high definition video that we had shot at the hospital and making it look like it belonged in a World War II era newsreel. It's not very often that we have to use our special effects to make a video look older than it actually is! But our editors were up to the task and with a combination of our video and archival footage, they created a film that could have come right out of the 1940s!

Everyone loved this film when it was shown at their fundraising event and were amazed at the progress from Suburban Hospital's founding to the present time.
