I love to see younger people appreciating Jimi.... And carrying on the tradition... I'm 65 and I grew up loving his music along with the other greats because there were so many but obviously he stands on his own. An experienced when I was in Washington 25 years ago where I was sitting on his grave or not sitting on it but near it just wanting to be there and his family came up all on their Sunday best... Went to church or down and I went home with them and I helped his father Al.... Work in the yard.... Then Al's new wife said wasn't Randy just stay over and you can take him back to the city tomorrow.... And then she said the only place I have for you to sleep is in Jimmy's bedroom do you have a problem with that? Of course not. She said it's just how he left it before he went to Vietnam. I was high on LSD at the moment. I didn't plan that some kids on the bus from Seattle to Fenton gave me some LSD. I was really high and I had to check back with the family in a couple of days and go did this really happen? In fact Al Hendrix... Has a club in Seattle called Jimis.... He told me to come there whenever I want and the drinks on him.... Well I went there and and Al said Dude... What took you so long haha.... Well because you know since I was on LSD I didn't know if I imagine the whole thing or not.
