Disc Golf Round at Harry Myers

12 October, 2024 - Ryan and I played a round at Harry Myers on Saturday morning. It's a busy park at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday, but I had stupidly thought there would be dew and wanted to wait for it to burn off. It was dry as a bone, and we found ourselves under pressure from other players frequently. No big deal for most people, but I don't play well under pressure.

We played a layout called Mixed Tees, which is a classic layout. If you're familiar with UDisc, you know that means it won't give you a round rating for it, because it's not a smart layout. Nor does it tell us which tee we're playing on what hole. We have to kind of guess at it, then look at the map and see where GPS is putting us. And some of the tees are a couple hundred feet of difference. This is why we're constantly looking to see if we're on the right one. It would suck to play the wrong one (Par 3) and get a bogey that would have been a par (Par 4).

Anyway, fun was had by all.

This is the second (repaired) upload of this video. The first was rendered incorrectly at a silly 24 frames per second, when it was recorded in 60. It looked like steaming dog vomit, so I'm trying again.
