I’ve always loved diamonds, made me love rihanna just for singing it, but then found out that Sia wrote it and sang it… it felt right. It’s not that rihannas version is bad, it’s actually really good but this is different… more heart to it. People commenting on the off key moments are a bit clueless on some aspects of music.. technically perfect music is awesome in numerous cases but sometimes it can come across cold and and a bit heartless, no warmth to it. There’s a time and place for it, and diamonds is no such thing. The fact that her voice cracks sometimes is what it makes her songs so unique and special. She puts her heart out there, that is what a music listener wants to feel through the listening experience, real emotion and connection. Music is so much more than entertainment and it should be.
