Edit: let me tell yall something. I completely lied In my comment, I only know one person who has cat, and he takes good care of it. This is just how easy it is to lie over here. Do not believe anything and everything you see. (although my point still stands, don't overfeed or underfeed your pets)

I know of this cat, he made it to the news here (Russia)! His name is Kroshik, he weighted 17 kilos when he was sent to get better and he's about 14-15 years old (his age is difficult to tell due to him being a street cat originally and his fat making it difficult to tell for sure). He sneaked into a hospitals basement one day and the workers decided to let him stay, while feeding him. He was actually a really fierce cat, a true street tom, and because of that his interactions with humans were limited to him being fed. Overtime, it was assumed that he didn't have much to do in the basement to help with boredom and what not, except for eating, which the workers were happy to help with. Which has led to what he is now today. He got his name from his cute face, and he actually dislikes people interacting with him, although at the moment he can't really do anything about it (except bite whomever getting near enough to his mouth XD)
That vets that work with him are actually rather possitive about his situation! Despite his weight, that has affected his healty already, he already lost 1, 1 kilos, which let him even try his escape! Cause when he was admitted, he couldn't even stand. So, all in all, Kroshik is in the right hands, let's hope he gets his full recovery ¦3
