Just say student strike? What are they striking from? If they’re striking to not go to school, their parents ought to stop paying for everything and make them go to work

….pay them more then
What about stop sending money to other countries spend it on our country

I wonder how these three would feel if their contracts were torn up, and working conditions and rights destroyed, and all the while the employers are making record profits. The MP who tells us that we should get use to living in poverty, we'll be paying for the gas and electricity in her two homes, and all the rest of the perks she and her colleagues enjoys, thanks to us. I've never known a situation where people are working full time, and still having to claim benefits, and sometimes use food banks a well. Food banks have now become the norm, especially when you see Tory MPs cutting a ribbon to a new food bank, with grins on their faces. Unfortunately we've let it happen, and we'll get the likes of these three hypocrites demonising the unions, as our NHS is systematically destroyed, along with our other services.

Would the gov please explain exactly what is involved in CBDC, and it's ID plans, in much the same way the gov in the 70's educated us clearly on the change of the number of pence in the £.

I can speak for a lot of postie's, it's our terms & conditions first & foremost, we'd be happy if they gave us no payrise & left the T's & C's alone.
We'd be worse off with the cuts in terms & conditions, even if they did give us a payrise it wouldn't negate what we'd lose.
The right to strike is our only defence against mismanagement & greed at the board levels, Rees Mogg must be revelling at the return to Victorian England.

He's of to harrods today for some Christmas shopping and to pick up his £10, 000 Christmas day suit from Savile Row and a new £3, 000 pair of shoes to match. I'm listening to "In the bleak midwinter" which inspired me to comment

Of course.
It could all be settled for £7 billion.
Truss wanted to give the richest 1% £40 billion in tax cuts.

By the way...
Not only the nurses worked through covid.
I and many others did
With no thanks and no furlough...
No ppe.
Until the end.
In and out of factories
Crossing over borders
All the stuff we was told not to do...
And now over taxed to pay for it...
No PRIORITY super market
Entrance for me
No discount for me.
They signed up for it.
I didn't...

Industrial action is one of the few tools of protest available to the working class, the MAJORITY of the workers/voters in the United Kingdom.

I don't like the terminology used here at all.. "Clamp down" the rail workers are not criminals, drug dealers or illegal immigrants, they are UK citizens using the Right to strike, which most civilised countries still have. I would like to see a balanced independent arbitration organisation that would look at all the issues involved and produce recommendations.. striking should always be a last resort but it's very clear to see what happens when you can't strike, the nurses and HCAs in particular are on disgustingly low pay..even after working as an HCA for over 20 years my wife gets less than any supermarket worker..dealing with death, sickness, dementia, drug and alcohol related sickness on a daily basis.. If you can't strike you are powerless and then you are exploited without mercy. So it angers me when I listen to provocative Thatcherite rhetoric which only supports Billionaires and all political puppets of the 0.01%.
