I'm sure many fans hate to be reminded of the impending snow but there's no doubt that the Mazda SUV segment has a ton of creds in dealing with the bad weather!

I remember The Fast Lane Car doing a comparison in the snow with the Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-5 and Subaru Forester. These guys are based in very snowy Colorado and gave it under snowy conditions to the CX-5 (just).

Worth noting though, Mazda revised the system this year on the 2019 Mazda 3. While Australia won't get AWD on the Mazda 3 just yet, the US market gets it because (a) they have more snow, more regularly and (b) they want people to cross shop it against the Subaru's.
To get point across, media in US went to Lake Tahoe and were asked to drive a loop that got the car into some serious terrain. Head on over to Savagegeese channel to see result. They went through terrain that surprised them, but they got a bit off course and stuck. However, a real full time 4WD truck (and a CX-9) that came into rescue them couldn't get anywhere near as far as the Mazda 3 did, which led Savagegeese to commend the system.
The Mazda 3 AWS system can also send the majority of drive to the rear (albeit front biased).

Why don’t local Mazda CX5s have privacy glass?

Aftermarket Winter tires to test the effectiveness of their AWD system? A Mustang with traction control would be ok w/Blizzaks. How would it perform with the OEM tires?
