Every December growing up my mom put out ceramic house decorations and I would place my plastic army men in the villages they work good like a urban war zone

I have almost every version of the bucket of soldiers released for the movies, made a video on it a few years back. It’s fun seeing how the originals went from having generic army men to the current ones having army men that look exactly like they did in the movie. The Disney parks exclusive ones now have a broken injured soldier just like in the movie which I find unique

I can actually smell that 1995 tub lol. I spent so many hours as a kid sitting up big army battles all over the house with those.

Do kids still play with toy soldiers? Literally one of the best toys to pair with kids that have really imaginative minds.

I was raised as an only child so I never had any brothers or sisters to play with but loved these toy soldiers. It was so much fun setting up intricate battles around the house, each with its own unique story. Felt similar to playing Dungeons & Dragons except with army men. Thanks for the video😊

When I was a lil gal I had hundreds of these things. Variously from bucket o soldiers to the dollar store knock offs and tanks/planes/artillery included. I had a whole chest and got a pack every Christmas. My mom liked buying me the cheapy kind when they were just $2 for a whole pack. I would spend hours upon hours playing with them in the garden. My little green and tan wars were always complete with a flood from the dreaded hose! Of course right after they saved the Barbies and the Cabbage patch kid!

These guys give me amazing memories. I even played all the videogames for N64 all the way up to PC days.

The Timme bazooka/rocket troops always made me chuckle after firing one of those myself. You can always tell the rookie by the ring around his eye. Haha

I love these army guys, such good quality. Disney merchandise is always such good quality, you can sometime come across an old toy that you haven't seen in 25 years in a box and get it out and it's as good as new. I like how they purposely make their products good quality, instead of designed to fall apart so you have to go out and buy a new one!

I used to have thousands, gave them to my youngest brother once I grew up and he’s lost almost all of them. Will be buying more awesome army men for my son once he’s a little older.

lmao the comment about the muzzles facing the ground vs being level and aimed at the enemy on the old vs new reminded me of being a little kid and bending the rifle barrel so it was aiming "forward" xDD

It's kinda sad to see how the modern molds have a lot less soldiers actually pointing there weapons and the dude swinging the overhead rifle doesn't even have a bayonet anymore.

I just discovered this channel. Growing up, my favorite toy were plastic army men. I would spent hours and hours playing with these things. I had my parents buy my all different kinds of these. I have a couple buckets of those bucket o soldiers from 2008-2009 era as well. You just brought back so many memories for me. There was a third mold type for the bucket o soldiers. I’ll have to look for them when I go back to my parents house.

I still have a few of those army men in some drawers in my house. Back then I had boxes full of them. They were one of the protagonists of my childhood.

It’s a darn shame we never got this guys in more toy sets. LEGO even made them, but only included like five figs. 🥺 You have one job Disney! Come on!
