Everyone loves mike because he’s stern and (relatively) moral yet always explains his reasoning and logic. Most people like that never explain themselves so they come off as arrogant and rude.

I think you shouldn’t always explain yourself but in mike’s case it’s to his advantage.

What i hate is when someone like this comes through, points ojt everything wrong and could potentially be life-threatening, and management just blows them off, and finally something happens and the management says "why didn't someone say something!?!?"

This actually happens at most work places. I worked for a warehouse where most of the employees were the ones who were not following the safety rules. The managers got tired so they had a safety person come in and every single staff that were found accountable were suspended without pay and warned that they would loose their job if they didn't followed the safety rules. You see they were a huge liabity to the company. Oh things changed fast in that warehouse 🎉🎉🎉🎉
