I go through the same thing everyday. Funny thing is that I have so many kids on my route-as much as I would like-I don't stop because I don't have time for all of that. I have over 1, 100 homes to service. At best they'll get the truck horn and a friendly wave. But I will say this, the kids appreciate your work more than management😆!

I love this. I had a pretty normal childhood with lots of friends from school and my block was full of kids my age but I also lived in a neighborhood full of elderly people and I made my rounds regularly to check on them. We would play cards and pick from the garden and do flash cards and watch TV together and they would tell me their stories? I also knew every merchant in town who helped me manage my money at their stores. I loved my parents and teachers but had so many more adults in my life that knew me, liked out for me, taught me stuff. Its great to see that kids can still have some adult friends in these scary times. I can't imagine my childhood without mine!

As a former little boy, I can attest that the trashmen are a frightening and/or wonderful spectacle. Afterall, they have the special power to feed a monster that eats EVERYTHING and makes loud noises. This is the real America that the news fails to show us.
