I'm a retired airline captain. Several years ago I had KC on a flight and encountered him in the first class galley. I told him that his songs were the background music of my late teens in the 70s. He was good natured, smiled, and said "you don't know how many times i've heard that", and then thanked me for the compliment. He was proud to tell me how the band was still performing numerous concerts annually. Really a nice, friendly, polite man.

KC & the Sunshine Band had it going on back in the 70’s when I was a teenager. I loved this band and still do at 62 years old. Rock on KC!

Well, this made me cry. I watched my boyfriend walk down a pier to swim with my brother and friends. I can still see him turning around to look at me. This was in 1982. He drowned that day. My life was forever changed. I miss him deep within my heart. This song will always make me think of him. Anyway, I am thankful for the song as I would give anything for him to have not turned to walk away. Hence the words, " please don't go" rings so so true to me.

I have wanted to see KC & the Sunshine Band for close to 50 years. I, along with my family finally saw them this past Saturday on my 69th birthday. The show was worth the wait. KC & his entourage put on a fantastic show. The song "Please Don't Go" still made me cry. I got to see another legend of music. What a great entertainer & person. Thanks for a great experience & best wishes.
