You can spin a read replica for this RDS instance and can point the reporting feature to pull reports data from the read replica thereby reducing load from the master RDS instance.

Use of read replica to generate report from.

We can create a database migration endpoint in rds read replicas so that the transfer of logs would be secure ssl also we can add lambda functions to periodically export logs without any manual intervention and export this data securely to our s3

Further this requirement is for sales analytics we can further transform the data in s3 using aws glue and store it in a redshift datalake
