I'm not sure why I watched this since I don't really need a garden had to comment that many seemingly difficult tasks could have been made much easier if we'd only known the "pro tip" sooner. I've had many light bulb moments watching instructional youtube videos and this was one of them, so thank you for that.

Thanks for the video. I have just made two 4x8 raised garden beds for a wicking bed and I want to keep animals out (deer, dogs, goats, squirrels, etc). I plan on putting up cattle panels or some 5’ fencing with t posts I already have. I plan on using the same fencing for the DIY gate as well. By the way, I had looked for a purchased gate but none seemed to fit my needs. Thanks again for your video. All the best from north Texas!

Hi! Thanks for this video. I’m going to give it a go for my new garden bed. Could you share what gate hardware you used for the latch and to attach to the posts? Also what length screws did you use? Ty!

I'm about to build a simple 7' gate for a chicken run, and this video was exactly what I needed thank you. On a 7' gate, would you recommend two diagonal supports--one half way up, and the second one the other half--or do you think I could get away with a single diagonal support from the top to the bottom?
