This is the thirteenth episode of Lightroom Quick Tips where I give a single, quick Lightroom tip.

Near the bottom of the screen in the Library Module is a spray can called the Painter Tool. In this episode of Lightroom Quick Tips I explain what that spray can does and how you can utilize it to save time in Lightroom.

Thank you! I've been watching your videos for the last hour or so and they're great! I've been using LR for years but never really knew much about the paint can feature OR the shift tab feature. Awesome. Keep it coming!

Great video, needed a refresher Anthony. Subscribed! BTW, anyone reading this, all the tips applies to current versions of LR of Classic and CC as I was applying these tips with each one running at the time.

Good tip....Quick question..(unrelated)....Is there a way to retrieve deleted photos in LR in case you changed your mind and wanted to re-import them back into the folder. How do we find the deleted photos...Thanks Anthony as

I always wondered what that little icon was for, now I know. Thanks!

You have to select Enable Painter from the Metadata tab for it to appear. (Windows)

Been using Lightroom for 6 months now, never noticed that spray can! Thanks for doing this!

Where would I go to find a list of all shortcuts... It amazes me how you know all these keyboard shortcuts! Everytime I watch a video of yours, you show shortcuts I didn't know!

using the sync function is faster.  spray can is for updating a few images.  The key with sync is having your first image contain all the correct data and then hit ctrl/cmd A to highlight all, then sync.  choose metadata and make sure the data you have in the box is all correct.

I would use this function as described though if you added 5 images to the beginning of the folder and needed to update them.  grab an image, spray on the keywords and drag over the 5.

nice video.

Tony, is there a quick way to delete the data if you spray the wrong picture?

Thanks so much for doing all of these vids. You do a very good job.

Some day, if fate allows, I'll get you a muffin or something.
