We're calling this the final edition of the Toyota Hilux because the GR-S seems like the culmination of what this 8th generation pickup is all about–not the flashiest, not the most modern but still a head-turner with a lot of reliable power!

Nothing is official yet regarding a Hilux successor but we're convinced that you should get this one even if it was on the way–check out our Review and let us know if you agree!

Facelifted to but same lang ng interior ng 2016 fortuner namin eh. Lugi. Even tires di manlang pang offroad, suspensions kyb. Haha. Pag mag upgrade kakahabol sa specs ng Raptor lugi pa. Opinion ko lang. ✌🏼

As you know and mentioned before, it's popular even though definitely less refined than newer trucks, it's that Toyota image of durability and reliability. It's almost like the Land Cruiser 70 series, why people are still clamoring for it, even though there are arguably much better vehicles on the market, including in Toyota's own lineup. That desert Sahara or Africa image of durability these vehicles have. Which also equals fantastic resale value and low deprecation, great thing to have if you like to change vehicles every few years.

Same dash & infotainment, wondering but ayaw nila iupdate yan. Kahit same or mini version sana nung sa tacoma.

A worktruck that will last 300, 000 to 500, 000 km easily without issues na walang kaartehan at gimmicks. High resell value.

Nice basic truck these days, a lot of people value them for that reason around the World. That being said, the Hilux definitely needs an update, especially compared to the more recent offerings on the table. The 2026 will be an all-new Hilux, though by most reports it's just a heavily refreshed same platform. I would wait to buy that model.

I'm having a crisis on choosing between this and ranger because the other one is pack of features and the ride is very comfortable, I don't care about the power because it's a pick up, not a race car. My concern is reliability, I have no question on toyota, but the ford....sigh*... If only. I own both ford and toyota but I sold my 2016 everest because it gives me headache on maintenance

Nice doing a review when you compare it to another brand, perhaps it would make a better advertising for the Raptor.

Ive been a Toyota loyalist and fan for twenty years. In the passed few years they lost me entirely. For a multitude of reasons.

Nowadays there are only 2 side of the fence. You wanted no fuss, basic and reliable japanese horse or futuristic but untested chinese horse. Your choice but can’t have both unless you can afford to have both.

People will hate me for this but BYD Shark 6 DMO just spoiled me and made me depreciate these outdated japanese pick up trucks. Please toyota, update the hilux!

For 2.2m its a no. BT50 or Athlete na lang

Looks too plain. GR should look more beefy and sporty. It's a very reliable truck but the look of the truck is average. Rather get the new V6 Raptor for about 300K more.
