However, a new campaign is being launched to educate people on their harmful emissions.

My uncle used a wood burning stove for 30 plus years, he lived until he was 81 years old. Scaremongering bs.

Everyone needs to bring back their wood stoves and get their fireplaces back in service and stop letting the gas and electric companies rule your life. Plenty of good dry oak just laying around the forest these days.

the main problem with a wood burning stove is its not a gas or electric fire so no gas or electric bill when using it..i mean how dare people try save money

I had a great-uncle (1886-1980) who lived in the 19th century way his entire life... I was in my 20s when he passed... They heated with coal and wood as well as cooked on a wood/coal burning stove... Kerosene lamps were used at night... (No modern lamp oil.. just old fashioned kerosene)... No electricity.. running water or indoor toilet... This great-uncle smoked a pipe and drank more than his share of Tennessee made wiskey... How ever did he live to be 94..? I will say that the old house was not sealed tight like modern homes... Single glazing.. gaps around doors.. etc... Maybe it is worry and modern standards that are killing us...
