There is Enhanced Edition of Silent Hill 2 on PC, which is basically remaster

Konami did have plans to at least port one or a few of the Silent Hill games (to pc I assume). HexaDrive was tasked with this but they wanted to convince Konami to do a remake for 2 so they made a mock demo of it, Konami did eventually greenlight 2 but gave it to Bloober Team, but they liked HexaDrives's mock demo so they let them make Short Message.

Its just interesting to see how things shuffle around like that. Seeing that makes me believe we will eventually get ports and remasters.

The Silent hill HD collection was bad but as a Silent hill fan and it being my only option at that time, Sh2 in the HD collection was my first Silent hill game, and even with it being a lesser release I still had a nice time going through it anyway

I’m glad to say I experienced the original games, I was so stoked for the remake though. I grew up on this stuff. 😂

I agree with you, that being said. that's why I think the original is unbeatable but the remake did a damn good job of this game. Completing it a second time now and it's just amazing that they nailed every aspect of the original except now everything is experienced over the shoulder instead of from the ceiling lol which I preferred it only added to the eerie ass gameplay of silent hill. I'll play the remake over and over and over again before I even touch sh 2 original ps2. EVER again 😆

If Konami can make a metal gear solid collection volume one and soon probably a two as well. Then they can make a Silent hill collection with silent hills 1-3 (I would want 4 too but if that’s too much for one package I understand)

A master collection remaster of all the Silent Hills would be incredible not only just for the fan base but also for those that haven’t played any of the games yet that have the interest to. Aside from this I think it would be cool if the Silent Hill 2 remake would include the original SH2 as an unlockable bonus for beating the remake 😁

HD remaster isn’t quite garbage. My only complaint is not being about to have original voice actors in 3. Other than that it’s amazing.

I forked over 200$ for the original black label release of silent hill 2 but I'm waiting to play till after I play the remake.
