Nice comparison. Finally someone who has actually compared real life scenarios for Wi-Fi 6 vs 6e rather than just quoting from manufacturer marketing material.

For the price, Wi-Fi 6 is the biggest bang for your buck.

I feel sorry for the who lives in the room 2, the wifi coverage is the least of their problems

I spent the last 2 days chasing the rabbit hole thinking I should be able to see my Wifi 6GHz band with my wifi 6 computer. Thanks for the video upload as I was discovering all this and your video at the same time. I have my Wifi 6E PCI card on order and I'll be able to do a test for my situation to see. I think my main thing is just to be able to see the 6GHz Band SSID would be satisfactory to me at this point.

Great info in plain speak! Using an eero Pro 6E mesh system, what should be the max walls/disincentive between nodes be maintain the max wireless backhaul?

Probably the most helpful video helping me decide, thank you!

Your tests with Wi-Fi 6 apparently use 160MHz channels, which can only be achieved on the 5GHz band using DFS channels, which are lost whenever your router detects a radar signal within range. If you make them 80MHz, which is the case for most Wi-Fi 6 systems, 6E (which uses 160MHz by default) will perform almost double the speed (relative to the same device at 5GHz band using 80MHz)

Nice video. I want to buy ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 PRO, the new 5.9Ghz router which uses the UNII-4 band. Do you happen to make a video about it :)?

I jumped on the Asus 16000 router. Since it is centrally located in my home i can take advantage of the 6ghz band for the highest priority devices. The rest of my mesh network is wifi 6 mesh routers.

There's a difference on latency? and how far are we on the same aspect compared to ethernet?

I have an odd question. Why do I get faster speeds on a 6Ghz mesh router then I do my main router that's only 5Ghz. To put it specifically, my main router is a ASUS AX-11000 Pro and I have an ASUS AXE-11000 router acting as an ai mesh node. So because my 6 GHz router is connected to a 5 GHz router wouldn't my connection be limited to the 5 GHz speeds? My speed test download on the ASUS router login page is giving me up to 1, 400 Mbps or more download speed for Comcast.

I came looking for the answer to this question, is the deco 6e mesh compatible with the deco 6. Can these devices be integrated. Also finding so many smart devices that are only 2.4ghz compatible, which of these will no longer work on the 6e network. I always expect backwards compatibility but that isn’t always the case. I have a few Wemo switches that don’t work with my deco 6 mesh and if 6e has even less support for 2.4 and 5 then why bother? Seems like waiting for 7 to become more available and cost effective is better than upgrading to 6e. Thanks for the video!

I have a 2gb internet speed, I’m currently using WiFi 6 and I’m getting 2.3g speed wired and around 500mpbs on my wireless devices like tablets and phones. My wife phone is has a WiFi 6e so she gets around 800mbps. I mainly use the ethernet cable on my main Pc to download and upload from my YouTube channel. Question is, do I benefit from upgrading to wife 6e? I can still return my WiFi 6 but it would be around 250$ more extra to upgrade. And also my furthest internet connection which is outside the house I still get around 100mbps speed wireless.

from what I've understood until now...WiFi6 comes in 3 flavors:
-on 5GHz uses 160Mhz channel with all packages included (mu-mimo, 1024QAM, OFDMA, BSS color ...etc)
-on 6GHz...this uses other extra band of 6GHz instead of old 5GHz and uses a channel of 160MHz or 320Mhz and it is called WiFi6E, again with all packages included or better (mu-mimo etc)
-on 2.4ghz there is wifi6... don't know the channel but maybe it has all packages of wifi 6 like mu-mimo and others

on all this flavours...can someone enlight me on the next question:
-how will I take advantage of this new technologies in WiFi..if my client devices don't have wifi cards compatible for such wifi specs?
-will my IoT LAN be better on the crowded 2.4GHz because wifi6 is on 2.4 also? even though all iot client devices don't know anything about mu-mimo 1024QAM etc

how come we focus on speeds and not on crowded networks?

Excellent explanation of pros and cons of 6 versus 6e. I'll stick with my 6 router as no real benefit with 6e.
