Every Chicano, especially from East L.A, grew up listening to a lot of Synth music. From Funk, Rock, Pop, etc. And this is a manifestation of it. Nice! They definitely grew on me 🤟

Being raised on the same music that you were; IE Joy Division, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, Smiths, New Order, etc. I really fuckin' love this music so much. Seriously, I really have to thank Vice/Noisey for that video. This is amazing.

On another video, you mentioned that all your life you've had to fight stereotypes because some people think you can't make this kind of music for being Chicano.  However, your style, your sound, your art is all reflective of your culture.  I don't see you betraying who you are, death and mysticism are deeply rooted in our identity.  Part of the  idiosyncrasy of being Mexican is our comical view of death.  We even have a holiday dedicated to remember our deceased loved ones.  We have come up with nicknames for it-La Flaca, La Pelona, 'Le tocó bailar con la más fea', a phrase we use when someone dies.  We don't see death as the end, but rather a continuation to our never-ending journey.  It isn't something we fear, it does not have to be sad, and we are fully aware that it's something we all will, eventually,  face.  So, I would say that you have made that connection between being goth and being Chicano, visible.
I understand your message, it totally resonates with me.

I saw your feature on  VICE.. and i was mesmerized.. besides the video being super stylized, your hometown and lifestyle was mesmerizing. When i heard this song i was excited. it reminds me of Joy division or Depeche mode.. the days of New wave.. dark clothes and melancholy galore. So into it. keep up the good work!

It's been every summer that this is my summer song. I mean, I usually hate "songs of the summer" but this is a bop and makes me feel better about wearing all black in the summer

At first listen, I was like, "The fuck is this?!" Second and third listen, I was, "OK, it's growing on me." Fourth time, I was completely hooked and can't get enough! Wish I would've discovered you sooner so I could've seen you in San Jose. Much love from a skeptical(now converted) NorCal Chicano!
