I play the Intro Riff on the A, D, G & B strings, starting on the open A, so:

Open A, 2nd fret D, G, D.
Open A, 3rd fret D, 2nd fret G, 3rd fret D.
Slide D & G fretted nores up to 7th & 5th frets from 3rd & 2nd, play Open A, 7th fret D, 5th fret G, 7th fret D.
then the 1st ending... G4th, D5th, G4th, B3rd.

Repeat with ending 2: G4th, D5th, G4th, D5th.

Repeat with ending 1, then 2 a few more times, until the last time, when you play ending 3... G4th, D5th, G2nd, D3rd.

Try it this way & see how it goes. Maybe 1 guitar is doing it your way, & the other mine?

I am going to play with a cover of Emperor's Beyond The Great Vast Forest using a combination of how I worked it out by ear & another tab I dl'd from UG for 1 guitar part, & the way it is tabbed out in the tab I got later on.
I reckon the 2 gtrs doing something slightly different yet very similar, or even the same, together, in tandem, makes the sound slightly more diverse, or interesting, or... something. Well, it is good sometimes, can be used to good effect. 👍

I play the open A, 2nd fret D, G, D part with my middle finger on the D2, & forefinger on the G2 so that I can slide my middle up to the 3rd fret while keeping the G2 fretted & ringing out with the Open A ringing out, then keeping the same 'reversed chord' like fingering, slide up from D3 & G2 to D7 & G5 while letting the Open A continue ringing out. Let the slides sound as you shift positions.
I try to pretty much keep all strings ringing out into the next notes as long as possible. 😘
