If anyone is to blame it's Obasi. He raised Taka wrong and that led him on the path to become Scar. Taka was scared of the betrayal from Mufasa that Obasi always said would happen. Taka never learned valuable life lessons because he slept with his dad all day instead of spending time with the females like Mufasa did where he learned to hunt.

I think Taka did truly love her!…plus Kiros did not convince him to kill Sarabi he convinced him to kill mufasa and either way remember that taka doesn’t know how do hunt how is he SUPPOSED to save her if he doesn’t know they might have both died still tho if u see all the parts taka talks to sarabi he was shy and nervous cause he didn’t know how to talk to a girl that he has feelings for this is why he went and asked mufasa for advice even tho he still shouldn’t have put their lives endangered over a girl u need do understand his feelings also taka practically a villain because he’s broken in the inside…! I'm going to preface this by saying Taka made his own decisions and the way he handled Sarabi's rejection was not at all justified. BUT- knowing that your best friend is interested in someone, and when that someone shows interest in you instead, and you reciprocate that interest behind your best friend's back, is really shitty on Mufasa's part lmao. Taka could have handled it better because plotting their murder is an extreme overreaction. But Mufasa, my guy, that was fucked up. 😂
